Founded in 2022, Oaknna Foundation is rooted in the belief that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and the chance to build a better future.
The name “Oaknna” combines the Oak and the Na — symbols, inspired by two women whose lives were rooted in compassion, strength, and caring for others.
The “Oak” represents Awatif Amin, the mother of Oaknna’s founder, whose strength and generosity inspired the foundation’s spirit. The “Na” represents Chandra Siriwardena, whose kindness, resilience, and dedication to others carried the same values across cultures and communities.
Their legacy lives on in every life touched, every opportunity created, and every community strengthened.

Oaknna Foundation is dedicated to empowering youth, refugees, women, and individuals with disabilities through mentorship, workforce development, skills training, and inclusive education programs that promote long-term self-reliance and opportunity.

A world where displaced and marginalized individuals have the opportunity, skills, and support to build an independent, dignified, and fulfilling future.
